I participated in ISTD 2025, an international initiative by the International Society of Typographic Designers, which promotes excellence in typographic design. This project focused on the concept of Typography, exploring the theme of “Modern Type” through an abstract exhibit aimed at a non-creative audience aged 60+. It introduced an immersive and innovative interaction with typography, supported by a physical exhibit, advertisement, and AR experience. All visuals were developed using type stencils created specifically for the project.

MODERN TYPE

The AR experience adds an immersive, interactive layer to the project, allowing users to explore the stencils in a dynamic new way. Through augmented reality, users can view the stencils up close at a larger scale and discover the abstract shapes formed by the layered letters within each design.

AR EXPERIENCE

This part of the project explores advertising, in which advertisement posters were designed to promote the exhibit. The imagery used in the posters were extracted from the visuals created from the type stencils, providing relevant visual repetition throughout the project outcomes.

EXHIBIT PUBLICATION

Below is a publication designed to accompany the exhibition, offering a deeper understanding of the concept behind it. This publication delves into the context of the exhibit, providing valuable insights. It is bound with two clear acrylic boards, the same material used for the stencils in the exhibition. These boards match in size and texture, giving users the opportunity to engage with the materials featured in the exhibit firsthand.
